Say NO to separation but most importantly, give a resounding NO to racist anti-immigrant rhetoric to deny healthcare, basic supports, and societal inclusion from newcomers!

I can't stress this enough. They're connected but separation is a distraction from more direct divisive politics.

If Alberta separates then hate will rule, but in the much more likely scenario that we don't separate, they will win anyways if they turn our Alberta into the one they wanted to create.

"On Monday morning, a suicide note was shared amongst a few people in a group of folks from the advocacy community for folks with disabilities in Alberta. The man said that the switch from AISH to ADAP was the last straw for him and he was going to take his own life. He told us not to bother trying to stop him. We did anyway. I found his phone number in seconds, Zachary Weeks reached out to the RCMP with his address and phone number right away. We did what we could.

A few minutes ago we received word that the man did, in fact, succumb to suicide. I am gutted. We all are. Mostly because we're all terrified that this is going to happen again over the next few months as people become victims of this government's callousness and their own despair.

Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is calling for a federal environmental impact assessment on Kevin O’Leary’s Wonder Valley project after a study suggests the 9 GW data centre and power plant could release massive amounts of heat in an area already struggling with drought.

The scientist who did the study called the new class of hyperscale AI data centres “Gigascale AI Smelters, smelting data and material strip-mined from people and planet.”

The report was released just as the first Wonder Valley open house was held near Grande Prairie and dozens of people showed up with questions and concerns.

The project was announced in December of 2024 but has been stalled since then. Now, it appears to be moving forward, despite concerns of local First Nations.

Read more about this AI mega-project that's the size of 130 West Edmonton Malls in my breaking news story for The Energy Mix.

Disturbing story on the intersection of AI and foreign interference in Alberta’s separation campaign. It raises many troubling questions. Who is paying for AI slop disinformation? And who is consuming it? And how on earth can those on the No side compete? #ableg #abpoli
