Hello #Linux people ^__^

I have a computer that is on #Ubuntu 24.04.5 #LTS.

Shouldn't I be able to upgrade to 26.04.1 LTS? I thought after the first point release of the next LTS „do-release-upgrade“ would do that?

But when I do that I get „There is no development[???] version of an LTS available.“

Thanks in advance!

Hey #Ubuntu friends: I keep fatfingering the numlock key and switching off my numeric keypad. I used Tweaks to set "Numeric keypad always enters digits" to true, but hitting numlock still switches off the numeric keypad. I also tried using xmodmap to set numlock to blank, but it rejected every identifier I tried for the key ("77," "0xff7f," "Num_Lock") with "bad keycode value".

SOLVED: Used Input Remapper to map Num Lock to a random Alt key.

BREAKING: #Canonical says it's going all in on #AI in #Ubuntu #Linux -- time to look for alternatives

They wrote a long post explaining their reasoning and plans. Lots and lots of words. Perhaps written by an AI. I wonder.

Still AI Slop.
