This is an unusual sculpture tucked away close to the entrance of SECC tunnel in Glasgow. It features words from the poem Wild Geese by Mary Oliver. Installed by the Gillian Purvis Trust, it's memorial for Gillian Purvis who died in a fire in Glasgow aged just 33. Between 2004 and 2021, the trust financially helped around 100 students working in the creative arts.
The £20,000 award for writers aged 39 or under goes to Joy Is My Middle Name, a collection about navigating race, addiction and womanhoodEmma Loffhagen (the Guardian)
