So folks, it seems, I've just killed my #Pixelfed instance… After unsuccessful upgrade to server version 0.13.0 something went wrong, and as of now it seems that posts do not propagate to other instances, and there are no interactions with my posts. Well, it's not technically dead, but more like a comatose. I.e. while I can find my Pixelfed posts by its url on my Pleroma instance, likes, boosts and comments do not return to Pixelfed. And no, there are still no errors in Laravel log relating to my Pleroma instance. What was wrong, idk. Maybe the leap from 0.12.7 to 0.12.11 during upgrade was too sudden, maybe the fact that I use Postgres, while it's recommended to use MariaDB. My instance infrastructure was weird on its own, so I'm afraid, it was not a Pixelfed bug, but my irresponsible style of deploying. Anyways, I need some time to think about it and decide, what server I want to use for my photos. I mean, there are not so many alternatives: just Pixelfed and #Vernissage.

We (@(@daniebeler@pixelix.social @hiebeler05@vernissage.photos) have been developing Pixelix for more than 2 years and will share updates, features, and other things about Pixelix on this account.
Pixelix version 5.0.0 with Vernissage support is now available.
This is one of the largest updates we have ever shipped. We refactored a large portion of Pixelix's architecture to support multiple platforms with different feature sets.
Additionally many UI components got a design overhaul.
The APK is available on GitHub.
Play Store, App Store and F-Droid are following soon.

@hiphopheaven There’s not much to affect these days since Loops gets all the love. I’ve been playing with #Vernissage recently after getting frustrated with the lack of progress with Pixelfed. The iOS app and website for Vernissage are both absolutely superb. The presentation and performance compared to Pixelfed is phenomenal. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re interested in a fedi alternative.
I like Vernissage better than Pixelfed for posting photos, it's more visual.
