American singer #DuncanSheik sadly passed away last week at the age of 56. While most people know him for his 1996 debut single “Barely Breathing” (which I love), I think that his sophomore “She Runs Away” is underrated. It’s tonally different from the first single, but I love how smooth it sounds.

Hey #music people who know about #piano education: I need a few books that will help me get from "was a promising student 30 years ago" to "can play acceptable parlor/swing piano" or at least keep me busy for a year or two on the way there. I can read music, I've played various instruments but very little piano since I was a kid.

I'm thinking maybe a couple of technical etude books and some enjoyable music to play. I think I might have some Scott Joplin sheet music lying around already.

I'm ready to put in the time but I just can't pay for lessons.
